Chelsea striker Abraham explains Norwich goal celebration

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham has explained the reasons behind his goal celebration against Norwich City.

After scoring his first goal for the Blues, Abraham made a beeline for Frank Lampard and embraced his manager on the touchline.

And Abraham says he wanted to thank Lampard for the support he'd shown after his penalty miss in the UEFA Super Cup final.

"He's always believed in me," said Abraham, who now has four Premier League goals to his name.

"He's believed in the youngsters and believed in me. I looked over, saw him celebrating and I just wanted to go and share my emotions.

"Everyone misses penalties but to miss a penalty in [the Super Cup], I was obviously devastated. I'd had a lot of abuse and everything afterwards but Frank Lampard always had his arm around my shoulder, he lifted me up.

"The boys as well - give credit to them. It's as if I'd never missed the way they supported me. That's exactly what I needed."
