Chelsea's David Luiz has admitted he would love to learn to speak Mandarin.

The Brazilian defender already speaks his native Portuguese as well as English, Spanish, French and Italian.

But the Blues star has winked at China by saying he would love to learn the national language of the Far East nation.

"I speak Spanish, English, French and Portuguese and I understand a bit of Italian," he told Chelseafc.com when asked which language he would love to learn.

"Maybe Mandarin, that would be a good one to learn."

Plenty of European and South American players are beginning to make their way to the Chinese Super League for lucrative deals and Luiz's desire to learn the language suggests he may be keen on a future move to the competition.

Or he may just genuinely be interested in adding another language to his collection...
