Chelsea are contemplating a shock a return for Alvaro Morata this summer.

The Spanish centre-forward struggled in the Premier League when he signed for the Blues earlier in his career.

However, their pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona is not finalised, per Sport.

The outlet claims that if Aubameyang decides to stay at Barca, then Chelsea will pursue Morata.

The 29-year-old did net 24 goals in two seasons with Chelsea, despite his high profile struggles in some matches.

Coach Thomas Tuchel may believe he can get the best out of Morata, who has played for Atlético Madrid in their two La Liga matches so far this term.
