Chelsea no.2 Zola: Higuain could start against Sheffield Wednesday

Chelsea assistant boss Gianfranco Zola has confirmed that Gonzalo Higuain could be ready to start against Sheffield Wednesday.

The Blues face a tricky FA Cup tie, only a few days after their Carabao Cup win over Tottenham.

And it is possible that Higuain will start the game, while he may come off the bench to ease him into the team.

"We don't know yet, he could do," Zola said in his press conference.

"We haven't discussed it. Everyone knows his goalscoring record, he can score in many ways and it is very much necessary.

"We know that he is coming from a different league where maybe the intensity is a little lower, but he has scored everywhere and in the Champions League.

"We are confident that he will give a lot to the team."
