Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley admits turning to a fish diet has improved his football.
The midfielder is convinced the change has helped him.
Barkley, who left Everton for Stamford Bridge in a £15million deal in January 2018, said: “We all go through difficult spells. I have turned 25 and am coming into my own.
“I am focused on improving at day-to-day level. Hopefully I will continue to thrive. Compared to when I was 18, 19 or 20, I would say my diet is the biggest change. It is much better.
“My approach to games is much better and I am going into matches with the right preparation and I am more relaxed rather than thinking about things too much.
“I am away from my family and down in London by myself. I miss being with my family but you know, it is totally different. It is about how I have matured as a person and a player. It is good.
“Since I made the move it was good to challenge myself and win trophies and to improve as a player. I will keep working hard and it will come."
