Chelsea summer signing Moises Caicedo's representatives have opened up about the deal that took him to Stamford Bridge.

Caicedo was involved in a summer-long saga that saw Liverpool bid for his services as well.

However, the Ecuadorian midfielder only had eyes for Chelsea, while he was determined to leave Brighton.

Speaking with Sport Italia, agent Andrea Pellagatti said of the fee Chelsea paid: "£116 million, equivalent to €133 million.

"The amount paid is no accident.

“It was finalised in the last few hours [before the deal went through], but the boy only wanted Chelsea, who had started to express their interest in a consistent manner since January."
