Chelsea loanee loanee Fofana: I must apologise to Union Berlin teammates, fans and coach

Chelsea loanee loanee David Datro Fofana has issued an apology for his behavior.

Fofana was seen to be furious when he was taken off during a Union Berlin game against Napoli in the Champions League.

The 20-year-old, who came off in the 70th minute, was refusing to shake the hand of his manager Urs Fischer.

He also appeared to be crying on the bench with his hand in his shirt after his removal.

Post-game, he took to Instagram and said: "Following my behavior during my exit from the field, I wanted to apologize to the club, the coach, my team-mates and the supporters.

"This gesture was not intended and in no way does it represent my attitude, all this was generated as a result of frustration because I wanted to continue helping the team to obtain a positive result.

"We will continue to work and come back even stronger in the championship and in this great competition."
