Chelsea youngster Billy Gilmour admits he felt surreal when taking on Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Gilmour, who is currently with Norwich in the Premier League, took on Ronaldo and United on Saturday in a 1-0 home defeat for the Canaries.
The Scottish midfielder is only 20, and likely grew up watching Ronaldo at his peak for United and then Real Madrid.
"He's a top player. I've watched Ronaldo as a childhood hero, so it's one of them that's a surreal moment but when it comes into a game, it's all focus on us," the Scot said, per Evening News 24.
"We know Manchester United are a top team and they've got great individual players, but we've got a great squad as well, that competed and it just wasn't enough."
