Released Chelsea icon Ashley Cole is keen on a move to AS Roma.

The Daily Express says with Roma having one of the leakiest defences in Serie A, the Italian's appear desperate to bolster their options with a seasoned veteran.

Cole was signed during Jose Mourinho's first spell in charge of Chelsea, but has fallen beneath Cesar Azpilicueta in the pecking order.

He has offers from MLS, but would prefer to remain in Europe if he is to play on.
