Chelsea are exploring the prospect of buying back Nathan Ake from Bournemouth.

The Daily Star says Chelsea are preparing a big money move to re-sign former defender Ake from Bournemouth.

The Blues sold Ake to the south coast club back in 2017 in a deal worth £20 million.

However Chelsea are now said to be back in the market for a defender and they are ready to bid double that in order to regain Ake's services.

The 23-year-old is seen as an ideal replacement for the outgoing Gary Cahill, and would help to boost the Blues' homegrown quota.
