Chelsea defender Tomori pulled out of West Ham loan at last minute

Chelsea defender Fiyako Tomori decided against a last-minute loan switch to West Ham United.

Sky Sports have reported that everything was in place for Tomori to make the move across London.

But the 22-year-old backed out of the move and will now stay at Chelsea.

Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol revealed: "West Ham made a late, late move to sign Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea.

"A loan move had been agreed, with the player's agent sorting everything.

"The paperwork had been done, but 10 minutes before the transfer deadline this evening, Tomori told West Ham he did not want to join them.

"The move is off, even though West Ham were willing to pay what we were told was a HUGE agent fee. Tomori is staying at Chelsea and West Ham are not getting the centre-back they wanted."
