Chelsea defender Thiago Silva admits his time with Dynamo Moscow was the worst period of his career.
Thiago Silva joined Dynamo Moscow in July 2005. The Brazilian did not play a single match and in January 2006 moved to Fluminense.
He recalled: "It was one of the worst periods in my life.
"I didn't know if I would ever be able to play football again. I moved to Dynamo from Porto, during the pre-season I became very ill. After some tests, the doctors revealed highly progressive tuberculosis.
"I wanted to be operated on in Russia on a lung. And I knew for sure that after that I would never be able to play football again. It was really a very difficult time."
