RB Leipzig and France star Christopher Nkunku will become a Chelsea player next year.

That is according to Le 10 Sport, who outline that all the necessary details have been agreed between the parties.

Nkunku will sign for Chelsea on July 1st, 2023, despite a recent injury that ruled him out of the World Cup.

Chelsea are using a release clause in his RB Leipzig contract of £51.9 million to complete the transfer.

The Blues have been on a significant spending spree since the takeover of the club by Todd Boehly and his consortium.

The London club spent around £270 million in the summer, and are likely to do the same next summer.
