Chelsea chief Claude Makelele is in Istanbul this week.

Fanatik reports Makelele visited Besiktas on Friday, where striker Michy Batshuayi is currently on-loan - and impressing.

The Frenchman met with Besiktas coach Sergen Yalcin and the club's GM Ceyhun Kazanci.

Makelele acts as a scouting director and loan manager with Chelsea, having first returned to the Blues to join the front office while Jose Mourinho is in charge.

The former Blues midfielder spent time with both Yalcin and Kazanci during his visit.
