Chelsea captain Conor Gallagher was delighted with victory over Sheffield United.

The 2-0 win snapped a recent form slump for the Blues.

Gallagher said: "It feels really good!

"I think it was really important coming into the game to get the three points and to show a good performance.

"We did that and hopefully the victory now will give us the confidence to build on going forward.

"We had to be patient to get that breakthrough and I think you have to give credit to the opposition.

"Sheffield United made it tough for us and they were really solid defensively, especially in the first half. There have been many games like that this season, where we've struggled to break teams down so we had to remain patient.

"Once we got the goal, I think we were in control from that point and in the end I'd consider it a really professional performance."
