Chelsea boss Sarri: Good win - now we need consistency

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri was delighted with their 5-0 rout of Huddersfield Town.

Gonzalo Higuain scored twice, the outstanding Eden Hazard also netted a brace, the first of which coming from the penalty spot, while David Luiz completed the scoring with a late header.

Sarri said: "I think we started very well in the first 25-30 minutes. I saw my football, we moved the ball very fast, we had good movements without the ball and we were very dangerous. I'm really very happy, we played well for 90 minutes and defended well for 90 minutes. We played a good match but we need consistency now."

Chelsea now have games this month against Manchester City (twice), Manchester United and Tottenham.

Sarri continued: "It will be very difficult, but also for our opponents. At the moment we have to be happy with our season because in February we are still involved in four different competitions. We know we have to fight to stay in the top four.

"Then we have to try to win something. It will be very difficult because in the Carabao Cup we had to play Liverpool and Tottenham, and now Man City, it's like the Champions League. So here in England everything is very difficult. The championship is very competitive and we know now we need consistency in our performances.

"Today they were very motivated but we lost 4-0 in the last match so they had to react. Now we have to understand the level of motivation must be the same in every match."
