Chelsea boss Pochettino pushed about Caicedo

Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino refused to talk about transfer speculation this week.

The Argentine coach was asked about the club's high profile pursuit of Moises Caicedo.

While Chelsea thought they had missed out on the Ecuadorian, he has reportedly told Brighton he only wants to join the Blues and not Liverpool.

Asked about Caicedo, Pochettino told reporters: “I think you know me very well. I never talk about players who do not belong to us. I think I am so respectful. I can tell you we are working really hard to add more players to the squad, add quality. If we have some update to make for you, the club will do.

“At the moment I'm not going to talk about players who do not belong to us. I think that is pretty important to be respectful with all the clubs and the player.

“Like any club, we are working hard to try to add more quality and of course to reinforce the team, the squad. We are working hard, I am so happy in the way we are doing things with Paul, Laurence and the owners. The relationship is really good and really close. So far, so good. We are so happy to work in this way."
