Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino admits he wants more from Axel Disasi.

Speaking ahead of their FA Cup clash with Preston, Pochettino was asked about Disasi's progress.

Pochettino said: "I think still, his potential, we are waiting for more. He has the potential to improve. He is doing well, it is not easy to arrive to the Premier League and to perform and then, in a team, a process to build a team, defensive always struggle a little bit more than the offensive. We are happy with him because he can play centre back but can help the team, with injuries to Reece James and Malo Gusto, to play right back.

"He is a player we knew, and maybe it was a little but lucky because if it was a different coaching staff, maybe we didn't know he could play right back. One day when we were with Paris Saint German, he played with Monaco, he was in the side playing against Mbappe and we saw he can perform like right back.

"Unlucky because you can play centre back yes but you can play there also. He is a centre back and he can play both sides and we are so happy. Suffered a little bit in the beginning but it is normal and he is a player that can improve."
