Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has decided not to take Thiago Silva to Krasnodar for their Champions League group game on Wednesday.
Lampard has eased the 36 year-old into first-team action since his summer arrival and the Blues boss has opted to rest the defender with the Russian side missing eight senior players.
Silva played 90 minutes against Sevilla and Manchester United, helping his side to their first two clean sheets of the season in two 0-0 draws.
Krasnodar earned a 1-1 draw in their first ever Champions League game against Rennes last week but their squad has taken a hit from positive coronavirus tests as well as injuries.
Marcos Alonso is also unavailable as he serves the second game of his three-match suspension after his red card against Bayern Munich last season.
