Chelsea boss Frank Lampard insists experience in players is "overrated".
Chelsea stand to lose years of experience this summer with the likes of Willian, Pedro, Marcos Alonso and Emerson all set to leave.
But Lampard argues: "Sometimes experience is overestimated, as I see it. It's good to have experience in the squad, but that does not always mean that it is the answer to things or it gives success.
"Sometimes innocence, youthfulness and a little real desire without the feelings from the ups and downs of previous seasons is really positive to have.
"We are in a process and situation now where we have many young players who will probably play their first year in the Premier League and even have to fight for a Champions League place. It is a great pressure that they are getting used to."
