AS Monaco technical director Laurence Stewart is being linked with Chelsea.
The Athletic says an agreement has been reached between the clubs and with Stewart for him to move to London.
Stewart, from England, has previously worked with the Red Bull network, RB Leipzig, Manchester City and the FA.
Boehly has also previously spoken of his desire to implement a multi-club structure at Chelsea, which Stewart has been involved in at Monaco with Belgian side Cercle Bruges.
The restructuring of the club is already well underway, with director Marina Granovskaia and technical advisor Petr Cech leaving their roles when Boehly took over in May.
The Blues are set to appoint Christopher Vivell as their new technical director, who will take up the role after Red Bull Salzburg's Christoph Freund rejected an approach.
Joe Shields of Southampton is also set to join the club as director of recruitment.
