Charlton Athletic are set to snap up Arsenal striker Stephy Mavididi.

The London Evening Standard says Addicks boss Karl Robinson is set to finalise a deal to bring the player back to The Valley, where he spent five games on loan last season before injury cut short his stay.

The 19-year-old has been on loan at Championship side Preston North End but has only played 11 times this season.

Talks between Charlton and Arsenal were ongoing today ahead of the deal being completed.

Charlton lost Leon Best to what appeared to be a serious knee injury during their 2-1 defeat to Gillingham yesterday and Robinson has confirmed a signing is imminent.
