Celtic manager Neil Lennon has completely shut down any talk of Liverpool's interest in Georgios Samaras.

It has recently been suggested that the Reds were targeting the Greece international for a January swoop but Lennon quickly dismissed that talk.

"It's just someone taking a flier," he said.

The much-maligned Samaras has been in decent form so far this season, scoring seven goals in all competitions, including five in nine Champions League outings.
