A return to Celta Vigo has been mooted for Al-Ahli attacker Gabri Veiga.

The Spain U21 international left Celta for the SPL in August, but has struggled to settle on and off the pitch.

A loan return to Celta has been raised, with coach Rafa Benitez already on record he'd like to work with Gabri if given the chance.

Now with Spain U21s, coach Santi Denia said of Gabri: "Gabri Veiga does more (in Arabia). In our first call, he was not at his best, because he told us that the preseason with Celta was not so demanding because he had to be cared for in case the transfer was made.

"He is very good and his physical situation is increasing. He will give more in this call."
