Celta Vigo defender Stefan Bajceti is joining Liverpool.
The Daily Mail says Liverpool have completed the signing of 16-year-old defender Stefan Bajcetic for £224,000.
The Premier League champions were keen to push through a deal ahead of the change in regulations over signing players under the age of 18 from January 1.
Liverpool – who have been scouting Bajcetic since 2019 – also beat competitors Manchester United to the youngsters signature.
Bajcetic has been at Spanish club Celta Vigo for seven years and is said to be eager to test himself in English top-flight.
The Athletic reports it was Liverpool's academy director Alex Inglethorpe, assistant academy director Nick Marshall and U23s coach Barry Lewtas who convinced Bajcetic to join the club over their rivals, United.
