Celta Vigo coach Benitez: Cadiz draw two points lost

Celta Vigo coach Rafa Benitez was left frustrated after their 2-2 draw at Cadiz.

Iago Aspas and Williot Swedberg had Celta 2-0 ahead, before Cadiz fought back via goals from Juanmi and Darwin Machis.

Benitez later said: "We knew that it could be a very difficult match in terms of the intensity and the pressure that they were going to apply. That's how it was and with all that we have gone 0-2 and they are situations that you have to take advantage of and handle.

"We were unable to maintain that advantage. We needed to manage those final minutes.

"All the teams that are down have conceded goals in the final minutes, it's normal. Once again a game that we have in our hands and it slips away from us. We have to learn now, because otherwise it won't work.

"We needed to attack some balls that were easy for us and handle the situation a little more calmly, it's something we've talked about in training and we've worked on."

He added: "You have the feeling that you have it in your hand, you go 0-2 and they score two goals in plays that could have been avoided. Obviously we have lost an opportunity and you are left with the feeling that we have missed two points."
