Catania striker Maxi Lopez wants AC Milan deal closed

Catania striker Maxi Lopez says he feels ready to move to AC Milan. The Catania striker is widely expected to be signed while Antonio Cassano recovers from heart surgery.

"I am grateful to Catania for all they have given me. As long as I am here, I will always give my best for them," he told the Corriere dello Sport.

"It is a great joy for me to be linked with Milan, as I grew up in Buenos Aires watching Serie A and admiring the Rossoneri. If the interest is real and Catania are open to it, then I feel ready to make the most of this opportunity.

"I like pressure, as that is where you see the real champions. I can do well, have reached my full football maturity and feel that I can take this chance. Replacing a star like Cassano is a responsibility that I would like to shoulder."
