Catania GM Sergio Gasparin admits they face a battle to keep hold of coach Vincenzo Montella.

He was at first courted by AS Roma, but is now the hot favourite for the Viola bench.

"As everyone knows, we have a few problems with current Coach Montella, who did so well this season that we'd have liked to continue this professional rapport," said Gasparin on the official Catania website.

"Once we resolve the issue around the Coach, we will face the questions of co-ownership deals and aim to complete the squad."
