Atletico Madrid attacker Yann Carrasco has slammed Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois over his Belgium AWOL antics.
Courtois was accused of quitting on his Belgium teammates by coach Domenico Tedesco after being overlooked for the captaincy in favour of Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku for the Euro qualifying draw with Austria.
Courtois has insisted he withdraw due to treatment needed to a knee injury - which was disputed by Tedesco.
Meanwhile, Belgium teammate Carrasco said on RTBF: "We are disappointed by his reaction.
"In the end, he is part of the team, he is one of the three captains. An armband is just a detail. You have to prove that you are a leader and a captain with your personality. He chose to leave. He had discomfort or not, we do not know. But one of the reasons for his departure was also the armband."
