Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher says Luis Suarez made the right call not joining Arsenal.

Arsenal, in 2013, famously bid £40million + £1 for Suarez, believing that they had triggered the forward's Liverpool release clause.

And Reds legend Carragher has revealed what he told Suarez, now of Barcelona, at the time to turn him off a switch.

Carragher said: "We said you're too good for Arsenal.

"If you're going to move you've got to move to Barcelona.

"That's what I'm saying with Eden Hazard as well. I think the best players in the world play for your Madrid's and Barcelona's and at this point, Chelsea aren't."
