Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher knows the new season kickoff will be special for one his new teammates.
A quirk of the 2011/12 fixture list means Liverpool new boy Jordan Henderson could make his league debut against his former club Sunderland on August 13.
Carragher said: "Football always seems to bring up things like this. It's a big start for him.
"Kenny will pick his team after pre-season but he's spent a few bob on Jordan, so I am sure he is going to play a big part for us. He's a good young player."
