Watford chiefs are considering selling Troy Deeney.

The Mirror says Cardiff are preparing a shock £12million bid to sign Watford skipper Deeney.

Neil Warnock wants Deeney, 30, to spearhead the club's battle to beat the drop next season.

Deeney's future at Vicarage Road is up in the air but Watford won't do business until they find a replacement.

The striker has also been linked with Newcastle United this year.
