Cardiff face FA probe after coins thrown at Bournemouth midfielder Fraser

Cardiff City face an FA probe after Bournemouth midfielder Ryan Fraser had two coins thrown at him from the away end.

The Cherries winger picked up the loose change and handed it to referee Kevin Friend in the 36th minute of the 2-0 win over Neil Warnock's side.

The Football Association last night said they would wait for Friend's official report before deciding whether to proceed further.

Cardiff boss Warnock revealed his side suffered from stage fright in their first top-flight game for four years.

The 69-year-old said: “The start of the game, one or two were really nervous.

“As the game wore on, we thought we haven't got to fear anything really.

“We have to be a little bit more clinical, have a little bit more quality in certain areas. We could have tested them more. That's to be worked on."
