Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has hit back at the critics who have questioned his decision to sign striker Robbie Fowler.

He said: "Bristol City sign a 31-year-old striker (Lee Trundle) for £1million (from Swansea) and we are told it's a fantastic bit of business.

"We sign a lad who is a year older and who isn't bad at scoring goals, and there is a question mark over it.

"I find that unbelievable."
