AC Milan icon Fabio Capello feels their injury crisis stems from their preseason.
Capello says they're paying for taking the squad on tour of the USA.
He told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "I may be old-fashioned, but I think little preparation was done and instead they went and played in the USA.
"You go for commercial reasons but then you pay the price, we should go back to working in stages."
"Now they have to deal with the absences, I would have made another transfer. Two quality elements, not many youngsters: (Stefano) Pioli, from what I read, approved everything.
"Corporate and condescending, he must now correct the situation.
"Pioli must find solutions, continuing along the same line is not good. The midfield is the engine of the team, two years ago it was formidable, what it is now is unclear. I would act there, despite the many absences."
