Capello: Dybala deal makes Roma title contenders

Former Roma coach Fabio Capello says the arrival of Paulo Dybala will transform the Giallorossi into title challengers.

Capello, speaking with Il Messaggero, first discussed if Dybala's move to Roma changes things in Serie A.

He said, “I would say so, yes. He is a great player, one of those who makes the difference. He raises the level of the team and changes something in our Serie A because Roma is now in the top group of teams.

“La Joya will bring goals and assists, increase the offensive potential and can compose with Zaniolo and Abraham a formidable trio, without forgetting Pellegrini. Then if Mourinho calls you personally, it becomes really hard to say no."

He also compared his Scudetto winning Roma team to the one coached by Mourinho now.

“The comparison is plausible. I see many similarities. I think Mourinho, as happened to yours truly that season, will try to ensure balance in a team with enormous offensive potential.

“That Roma, after all, was devoted to attack, we had Cafu and Candela on the wings. I needed something in coverage. What a beautiful Roma, though, that one. A magnificent team."
