Former Real Madrid goalkeeper Santiago Canizares has hailed the seasons of Real Sociedad and Girona.

Canizares admits he's excited seeing unfancied clubs shaking up the LaLiga.

He told Radio Marca: "Real Sociedad and Girona deserve credit.

"What is Girona missing for us to believe it? May the days advance and remain in that position. It is extraordinarily meritorious about Real and the award to many of very good management in that club.

"How nice it is to see teams with fewer resources that have been strengthened through management and that is no coincidence."
