Calf injury has Liverpool striker Sturridge in danger of missing Euro2016

Daniel Sturridge is in danger of being left out of the England squad for this summer's European Championships.

According to the Daily Mail, the Liverpool striker is facing an anxious wait as he attempts to put his best foot forward prior to Tuesday's cut-off date.

Associations from the 24 European nations are required to submit their final 23-man squads by the end of May 31 meaning Sturridge has just two days to prove his fitness to Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson.

Sturridge has not completed a full training session since linking up with the England squad because of a calf injury but will get the chance to show Hodgson he is ready when he suits up for Monday's training at St George's Park.

Manchester United's Marcus Rashford did his chances no harm by scoring three minutes into his international debut against Australia on Friday while Wayne Rooney, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy are already in front of Sturridge, which indicates that he could be left out if he fails to get through the full session on Monday.
