Lyon are refusing to rush the sale of Maxwel Cornet to Bunley.
The Daily Express says Burnley will need to play the waiting game if they want to sign Cornet after tabling a £12m offer for the Lyon man.
Sean Dyche is keen on bringing the 24-year-old Ivorian to Turf Moor and Burnley have been granted permission to hold talks with Cornet but Lyon want to sign a replacement before they let him leave.
This would give Burnley the green light to sign Cornet, who has also been considered by Watford and Leeds.
PSG's Layvin Kurzawa and Chelsea's Emerson Palmieri are among a list of possible targets.
