The People says Burnley are making an audacious play for free agent Bendtner.
The big Dane has not been offered a new deal at Arsenal after stepping out of line once too often and that has opened the door for Clarets boss Sean Dyche as he shapes his squad for their Premier League return.
Bendtner, 26, is also wanted by Russian side Rubin Kazan, and Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis retains an interest.
