Burnley midfielder Berge: Sad Odegaard missed Arsenal game

Burnley midfielder Sander Berge was sorry missing Martin Odegaard in yesterday's defeat at Arsenal.

Berge's Norway teammate missed the game due to injury.

The Burnley midfielder told VG: "I spoke to him leading up to the match. I wanted to see him here today, of course.

"It would have been powerful to go out to the Emirates with him, now that he is captain of Arsenal. It is very sad.

"I have been friends with him since I was 15 years old. It has been a wonderful journey. Among other things, I did rehabilitation in London and mostly lived with him for two months when he was on loan here (in 2021).

"We have experienced everything together. Know each other inside and out. A fantastic boy and player. Hope I get to play against him next time."
