Burnley have failed with a new offer for Sunderland winger Jack Clarke.

The Sun'sAlan Nixon is reporting the Clarets have offered £10m for the midfielder.

Clarke has just come off a superb season with Sunderland, helping them reach the promotion playoffs.

It was Burnley's second bid, having upped it from £7m.

Several other clubs are also monitoring Clarke's situation after last season's Sunderland campaign.
