Steve Bruce is being linked with the manager's job at Gillingham.
Bruce has been out of work since his sacking by West Brom last season.
The former Manchester United captain played for Gillingham before being signed by Norwich City.
Bruce made 237 appearances during a five year spell with the Gills.
He has also been linked with the Republic of Ireland job.
