Sofyan Amrabat's brother has revealed that Manchester United tried to sign the Morocco ace in the January transfer window.

However, his club Fiorentina weren't interested in the type of deal United were offering.

"I can name three clubs who were very concrete in the last two or three days of the transfer window [in January]," Nordin Amrabat revealed.

"Manchester United wanted a loan with an option to buy, but Fiorentina didn't want that."

After a superb World Cup, Amrabat has been playing out the season with Fiorentina.
