New Bristol City signing Ivan Sproule gave Hibs a teary farewell yesterday.
The 26-year-old Northern Ireland international winger brought to an end his two-and-a-half year spell at Hibernian by agreeing a three-year contact with the Championship outfit and it was an emotional day of farewells for the fans' favourite.
Sproule still had two years left on his contract and his sale is expected to net Hibs around £500,000, however he insisted: "There was no pushing out of the door from John Collins at all. I was late into the game at 24, sometimes people forget that, and I'm trying to catch up as quick as I can. But yesterday was a sad day for me and also a happy day to be leaving. I really haven't got a bad word to say about anybody associated with the club."
