Brighton spying last minute permanent deal for Chelsea midfielder Gilmour

Brighton are very keen to complete the signing of Billy Gilmour permanently from Chelsea.

The young Scottish midfielder has fallen off the radar at the Stamford Bridge club of late.

He is not in the plans of manager Thomas Tuchel, but Chelsea would prefer a loan deal.

According to the Daily Mail, Brighton believe they can get a deal done for the 21-year-old, who has played 11 times in the Premier League for Chelsea since 2019.

There is a possibility of a transfer that includes a buy-back option for Chelsea at a fixed fee.

Gilmour did not take full part in the club's pre-season preparations, as Chelsea were hoping he would have found another club on loan by now.
