Brighton set Caicedo price as Liverpool, Chelsea come knocking

Brighton have set an initial asking price for Ecuador midfielder Moises Caicedo.

CBS jurnalist Ben Jacobs is reporting Liverpool have been long-standing admirers of the 20-year-old, stretching back to his days at Independiente del Valle in his homeland, when they, along with Manchester United, were said to have been put off by the agents fees involved in a deal to bring the youngster to England.

Caicedo did, however, end up signing for Brighton for £4.5million in February 2021.

The report goes on to state that Jurgen Klopp's Redse are keeping tabs on Caicedo's situation at the Seagulls and that the player will re-visit his situation after the World Cup at the end of this year.

But with Chelsea - who are now managed by his former boss Graham Potter - also listed as being in the mix, Brighton are said to have placed a minimum of a £50m price tag on Caicedo's head.
