Brighton are seeking new contract talks with manager Roberto de Zerbi.

De Zerbi is Barcelona's top target to replace departing coach Xavi, but his buyout clause is a big problem. It is over €10m.

De Zerbi's contract extends to the summer of 2026. Now Mundo Deportivo says Brighton wants to renew the deal.

The Italian took over Brighton when Chelsea ferried away Graham Potter in September 2022.

Hans-Dieter Flick and Thomas Tuchel are other coaches being considered by Barcelona.
