Brentford striker Ivan Toney has paid tribute to captain Christian Norgaard.

Toney says the Dane was a great support during his betting ban.

He told the Mirror: "Literally everyone sent me messages. I could go through the whole team. But especially our captain, Christian Nørgaard.

"He sat me down and was like: 'How are you? How do you feel inside yourself? Is everything ok?'.

"It meant a lot. That someone actually sat me down and asked me a question. Also because I have the personality I have. I'm usually always this bubbly person. It showed that he actually cared."
