Brentford striker Ivan Toney admits he could have joined Celtic last summer.
The 25-year-old has continued his excellent form this season, scoring 28 goals in 42 games for the Championship side.
He was close to signing for Celtic in the summer from Peterborough United.
But he instead went to Brentford, and has not looked back.
Asked about Celtic's interest, he told FourFourTwo: "Yeah, that was close.
"I spoke to a few people there and I spoke to the manager, but just couldn't get a deal over the line."
Asked if Celtic would've won the league instead of Rangers with him in the team, Toney said: "It would have been different, is all I'll say."
